Prime Telecom supports medical equipment production in Romania

Prime Telecom understood how important the doctors’ protection is during pandemic period generated by the covid-19 virus, and came up with a concrete solution to help during the crisis, by purchasing and donating 2 3D printers, in order to produce frames for visors, to be donated to doctors in hospitals who are treating patients infected with covid-19.

These 3 D printers will be used by a team of engineers from Timișoara, who is coordinated by Narcis Cuciureanu from, Top Diagnostics. They have already been involved in the manual production, of 500+ visors, from transparent PET GAG material of 300µ, with a frame with an adjustable system. All of them were donated, free of charge, to Timisoara Hospitals: Victor Babes Hospital, Municipal Emergency Clinical Hospital, Louis Turcanu Children’s Emergency Clinic Hospital, and Railways Clinic Hospital.

The team of technicians has carried out several design tests, and refined the frames according to the feedback received from the doctors. Now they are producing a stable, and comfortable type of visor adapted for all types of physiognomies, which can be used by individuals who are wearing glasses. They manage to find an optimal angle of curvature that ensures, in addition to the necessary protection good ventilation to prevent the screen from fogging during use. For the screens, a certain type of polycarbonate material is used, which is not exposed to contact with biocides.

With these 2 new 3D printers donated by Prime Telecom, on April 3, 2020, it will be possible to increase the number of visors produced per day, from 10 at present to 20 in the following period, following the products being donated to the doctors from the Surgery, ATI departments. / UPU from the hospitals in Timisoara, Arad, and Caransebes.

In case you want to support the volunteer team, please do not hesitate to contact the coordinator, Narcis Cuciureanu directly.

Disclaimer: Visors are not certified and are not intended for sale. These are provided only free of charge to the doctors, in order to provide additional protection, and the material used in their production is from the own sources of those involved voluntarily in the project.

Complete security solutions for the banking system

Romania has the degree of bank intermediate calculated as a ratio between bank assets and the lowest GDP in the European Union.

At Prime Telecom we provide complete solutions to the banking system regarding the zero priority of the moment, namely the increase of the basic service regarding the access to the current account through the card (ATM).

According to the study published by ZF, only 10% of the national ATM network is operational in rural areas, although over 45% of the country’s population lives here, 3 out of 4 communes do not have access to an ATM.

In the attention of our partners in the banking system, if you intend to invest in this sector, we remind you that Prime Telecom offers you integrated security systems that also include video surveillance solutions, burglar detection systems and access control throughout the country.

The National Bank of Romania recently announced that in Romania, at the end of the first semester of this year, there were a total of more than 10,547 ATMs, out of which 9,488 in the urban area.

In addition, the national ATM network is experiencing a sharp decline in both urban and rural areas.

The maximum number of ATMs was reached in June 2015, when in Romania there were 11,738. This 10% reduction in the last four years is most strongly felt by the rural population.

At present, only in 695 of the 2,861 communes in Romania there is an ATM, while 2,166 communes (almost 76% of the total number of communes) do not have access to an ATM in their locality.

According to HG 1002/2015 Annex 1. art. 18 atm must comply with the minimum security requirements.

“Art. 18 (1) In order to ensure the security of the automatons destined for the cash transactions, regardless of the location, the minimum requirements regarding the electronic security and the mechanical protection will be respected.

(2) The burglary detection subsystem shall signal the unauthorized opening of the doors of the banking machine and its action to force it.

(3) Banking machines intended for cash transactions from bank locations shall be supervised by video in the customer area and in the supply area.

(4) The theft detection system intended to protect the cash transactions automation located outside the bank offices must be connected to an approved monitoring dispatcher.

“(5) The operations of feeding or withdrawing the cash from the machines are carried out without the presence of unauthorized persons in their proximity.”

“(6) Payment machines or other terminals that accumulate and deposit cash at night, except for foodstuffs, which are not disposed in spaces delimited by elements resistant to manual attacks and secured with locks, or are not secured , it is secured by fixing immobile supports. ”

Energy efficiency, for results that matter!

Today, 3rd of April, 2019, our colleague, Mr. Dumitru Nanu, specialist in supplying complete solutions from Energy Efficiency – Led Lighting and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, is attending to a new event organized by energynomics.ro in the Ovidiu Hall at Hotel Ibis in Constanta.

We really do appreciate events that allow us to discuss directly with the experts from energy sector and decision-makers within the public authorities about the stage of current regulations in the Romanian legislation regarding the harmonization with the European Union law on energy efficiency, especially in the case of commercialization of electricity produced by the solar systems of electric vehicle charging stations owned by legal entities that are not currently accredited by ANRE.

We are glad that Mr. Bogdan Anton – SMEF Expert from the Department of Energy Efficiency at ANRE has presented us the possibility of integrating green energy into the national grid, as well as solutions to stimulate the energy services market.

For us is important to know that there is a national action plan for energy efficiency and electric mobility as at Prime Telecom we are supporting local energy efficiency initiatives by providing flexible solutions tailored to the specific needs.

Guadeloupe – 4 G Mako project

Mako project took place in Guadeloupe Island, a French overseas region in the southern Caribbean Sea.

On this project Prime Telecom did the following:

  • Equipment delivery to site
  • Installation, commissioning and testing
  • Site report and site folder
  • Decommissioning, dismantle and delivery to warehouse

Between November 2017 and April 2018 we’ve deployed several teams, from Riggers, drivers and up to project managers, in total around 70 persons.

Our partner in Guadeloupe was ZTE Corporation. During this six months our colleagues have faced several special situations, all new to us. One of the main challenges was to overcome the cultural differences between natives, partners from China and our Romanian teams.

The weather was another challenge, as we confronted ourselves with different climate – where the weather changes are happening very fast, in short periods of time. We’ve found out that what you planned in the office was not necessary adapted to the reality in the field.

So, in the Gant diagram there was no special section for unique situations like: reaching a site located in the middle of the forest with no visible access path, or dealing with cultural differences – interdiction even to be close to sites on the second day of Easter, or with legal challenges – out Drive Test team was asked during a night shift to justify what was their scope in the city etc.

The Drive Test team carries out optimization, conducting telephone and data tests when the site is integrated after the equipment has been changed.

But based onto the professionalism of the team, along with excellent coordination of our Project Manager, Mr. Lucian Voicu, in cooperation with our local partners we managed to finalize the project in very good conditions for our final client, Digicel.

Now that we have another proven international experience we are ready for new challenges!
